For the provinces of NS, NB, SK & Quebec, you do not need a referral

After your visit concludes, you'll be instantly emailed access to your secure DermCafé Portal. Your prescription will be inside! (Along with everything else you need from your visit)

During the Registration, if you select a skin concern unsuitable for virtual dermatology care, the Registration Form will pause, and you will be advised to seek care at an in-person clinic

Accutane (isotretinoin) is one of our most common prescriptions. Bloodtests are arranged via our platform. All of your ongoing care and visits related to Accutane will take place on DermCafé.

Medical decisions reached via Video Visits are widely reported to directly parallel decisions made from in-person visits.²

Yes, our Dermatologists routinely have their patients complete bloodwork (e.g when on isotretinoin treatment) at local laboratories. We will provide you a labwork form via your secure Portal that you can download/print off and take to your local lab.

Please always check with your local lab regarding these issues. Ultimately, DermCafé does NOT control these laboratories, nor do they make any of these regressive decisions.

Digital clinics mean that we can take advantage of our secure digital platform to see an unlimited amount of patients. Additionally, due to our digital nature, our team of Dermatologists can provide care from a variety of geographical locations (e.g. are not just limited to your local options).
